SDK MENTORING CHALLENGE
Excellently connects world-class artists with dancers-students on a deeper level. The mentors select students during workshops for their mentoring program and ultimately choose the top 5 for their show or battle crew.
How does it work:
Registration and Mentor Selection:
Dancers register for any workshops they want. As a bonus, they choose just one favorite mentor to participate in the SDK MENTORING CHALLENGE with. Mentors are divided into two groups:
- Mentors for shows (choreo, house dance)
- Mentors for battles (hip hop, funk, dancehall, afro).
Workshop Sessions:
Dancers will first attend their mentor’s mandatory first two workshops. These two sessions are designed to fully align with the mentor’s vision, technique, and artistic direction, giving dancers the foundation and tools they’ll later use in the battle or show. After these two workshops, each mentor will select their Top 20 dancers, who will receive an additional workshop with that mentor. Following this extra session, the mentor will then choose their Top 5, who will represent them in the battle or the show.
Flexibility and Additional Workshops:
Dancers with SDK DANCERTICKET can attend workshops outside their mentor’s sessions and regular workshops featuring top duos from CZ & SK. All-in tickets include attendance at a total of 13 workshops.
Final Show or Battle Practice:
Top dancers undergo special training with mentors on Saturday, focusing on refining skills and routines through rehearsals, feedback sessions, and coaching.
Final Show or Battle:
The event concludes with a show or battle featuring top dancers and mentors, providing a platform for them to showcase the results of their mentor-led training, growth, and talent to an audience that will decide the overall winner in battle.
